Which square footage should I enter?
Use the living area across all stories. Enter a roofed garage or covered patio in its own box, since it usually sits under a one-story roof. The calculator assumes each floor is the same size. We check those details on site.
What if I don’t know my roof pitch?
Choose the drawing that looks closest from the ground. Pick ‘I’m not sure’ to use a moderate 6:12 slope. Flat roofs and unusual shapes need a site visit. Please don’t climb on your roof to check.
